music is my food

About Me

I was born in Huddersfield and began playing guitar at 8 years old and after 3 years I formed my first band; V11. We started by playing punk and rock covers but incorporated more and more original songs into our live sets over the next 5 years—this is where my songwriting journey began. Since then, I have been busking all over the UK, doing live looping and self-producing my original songs, and I recently became the rhythm guitarist for the ska band Madame Claude.

I listen to all kinds of music for pleasure and inspiration, from jazz to metal to ska to folk; however, the artists who have influenced my writing the most are The Melvins, Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell, and Tom Waits.

Experience

Bands & Groups

I used to play guitar in a hard rock band called V11. We started playing covers and gradually introduced original songs into our sets, some of which we later recorded and released. Being in V11 gave me my first taste of touring, recording and playing with other musicians. We played gigs and festivals all over the UK, many of which were at our local, Huddersfield's Parish pub.

At the start of 2025, I joined Manchester-based ska band Madame Claude. I’ve already performed a handful of gigs and recorded with them and I can’t wait to see what the future brings for the Claude.

Solo Performance

I have busked in many cities such as Sheffield, Leeds, York and Manchester, creating improvised R&B jams using just my guitar and a loop pedal. This has given me plenty of experience dealing with the general public and improvising guitar solos.

I have also performed various gigs with my acoustic 12-string guitar, performing my original folk-doom music. If you want to book me, please fill out a contact form on my home page!

Production

In 2024, I started a Music Production degree course at Futureworks in Manchester. I have since been learning all the skills required to record, mix and master music and hope to become a full-time producer after university.

I have some experience mixing my own beats and songs and working in the studio with Madame Claude but I hope to work with a wider range of artists in the coming years. If you make music, fill in a contact form on my “Production” page for free studio time!
